Analysis of Data Results

Question 1:Question one made me discover that the majority of 33.3% read magazines once a week therefore by having my magazine a weekly issue it will likely to be purchased.

Question 2: Question two made me discover how often my target audience use social networking sites, and I found that the whole of my sample either visit them extremely often or very often, so I can apply this to my magazine in that instead of just being printed, my magazine can use a lot of social networks and these can be advertised on my magazine.

Question 3: I found out that my target audience use Facebook more than other social networking so i know to make my magazine a success i can create a Facebook page to advertise and promote my magazine. However as Twitter and Instagram only had one less vote of 12/24 it would also be important to involve these in my magazine to make my magazine the most accessible and well known.

Question 4: I was very surprised to find out that 79.2% of people asked didn't already read a music magazine. However i can understand there aren't already many magazine that will interest young people therefore by involving key concepts and using a lot of social networking my magazine will guarantee to be a success.

Question 5:Question five made me find out that the most popular music for my target audience was Pop with 13 out of 24 votes also closely followed behind with 9 out of 24 votes for R&B music. To involve this in my magazine i will use very popular artist that will encourage a wide range of audience to read however stick with my original R&B and urban feel.

Question 6:I found out that the majority of my target audience would like to see photoshoots and gossip in a magazine. I will very pleased with these results as i already had these concepts involved in my music magazine. I will include photoshoot with artist and using interviews with artists to find out all the gossip to encourage readers to want to find out more.

Question 7: Finding out from question seven that 62.5% of my target audience would pay between £2 and £2.50 for a magazine . This was more that i accepted as i thought the majority would pick a lower price of £1-£1.50, however this is pleasing as my magazine will be able to have a higher budget to involve a lot of concepts which will encourage readers the buy my magazine.

Question 8: Question eight results were surprising that 65.2% would be encouraged to purchase a magazine if it contained a free gift. I thought that free gifts would still be considered as childish and not be suitable for my target audience. On the other hand, 52.2% also thought that a famous artist featured would encouraged them to purchase a magazine.I was glad with these results as was already a key concept of mine to include a famous artist every issue.

Question 9:I found out that my target audience would prefer more photos than text in the magazine, with  16/24 people agreeing. I am pleased with these results as i already planned for my magazine to be very visual as knew my target audience would be more attracted to a lot of pictures rather than lengthy text which would look boring.

Question 10:Question ten made me discover that the majority of my target audience would not subscribe to a monthly music magazine. I was not surprised with these results as i personally wouldn't either so i am pleased as this shows that i have chosen the right type of people to aim my magazine at.

Overall, i am very pleased with my results because they gave me an exact indication as to how to develop my magazine and make it good according to my target audience.A lot of concepts already considered have been shown to be very popular so i am glad that this confirms i am aiming my magazine at the right people.
